Rebecca Ferguson: "Cher & I Were Not Best Friends"

Rebecca Ferguson has admitted that during her time as a contestant on The X Factor, she did not get on with fellow finalist, Cher Lloyd.
Speaking to Star magazine, Ferguson - who came second on the 2010 series of the talent show - revealed that living in The X Factor house was "intense" stating she did not always see eye-to-eye with Lloyd.

The Liverpudlian singer explained to the publication: "I'm not going to lie, me and Cher weren't the best of friends on the show. I think people - including myself - have grown up now, though."
"It was so intense back then. We were all away from our families. On the tour, though, Cher and Katie Waissel were lovely and I can promise you I didn't witness one tantrum."
When asked if there was a particular incident that triggered her falling out with the 17-year old, Rebecca stated: "Nothing actually happened. Me and Cher never argued, we just weren't the best of friends. We get on well now, though, and I think she's going to do really well."

The 24-year-old added: "Some of the stuff in the press was not true. You have certain people you are close to and certain people you're not, but on the tour we were really close - me, Cher and Katie."
Ferguson also addressed her relationship with One Direction singer, Zayn Malik, confessing that she is "in love" with the 18-year old star.
Rebecca, who went public with her relationship with Malik last month, stated that despite the six year age gap, things are going well between herself and the teen heartthrob.



 
Speaking of Zayn, the mum-of-two claimed: "Yes I'm in love, and it's a wonderful feeling. I've never felt like this before."
The star added: "I think I'm like every woman in that I'd like to get married one day and I'd definitely like more kids when I'm older."
Zayn has previously denied reports that he had asked Ferguson to marry him, tweeting that he had not popped the question.
